Testimonials

Dr. Brad Durham, DMD, LVIM and Team Savannah, GA

It would seem that after taking thousands of hours of continuing education, instructing at LVI for years and being awarded the first LVIM, it is easy to become complacent about “continuing the journey.” Well, Ashley certainly changed my thinking as I discovered about “not knowing what I didn’t know.” He has spent many days in my practice and each time left me with a totally new team, motivated and educated with incredible information, essential for the aesthetic and neuromuscular practice.
What else can I say? I wouldn’t practice without him and neither should you!

I am still thinking about your visit and quite honestly I will be thinking about it for the rest of my career. Why? Because every time I, or one of my team members sits down with a guest to present a comprehensive analysis utilizing the techniques you provided us during your seminar, we have you to thank. A comprehensive exam and comprehensive presentation utilizing your information is so thorough – and I thought I was a full mouth doctor before!

What a privilege it as been to spend the past few days with Ashley. To try and get all the team to LVI at once to hear this information would be extremely cost prohibitive yet having him here on our doorstep teaching in his very understandable, non-confrontational manner was an opportunity too good to miss. One of the great outcomes was seeing the greater understanding that the team have now of what we are trying to achieve in the meticulous care we give our neuromuscular patients. Their ability now to endorse and support us in that care and encourage our patients will be priceless.

No matter where we each are on our journey, all of us could do with extra support. It is too hard to do neuromuscular dentistry alone. The support of our teams makes that journey a lot easier and certainly a lot more fun. Team learning is the best learning and the fact that you would invest in them in this way builds extreme loyalty – the payoff is manifold.

My extremely competent neuromuscular assistant (been to LVI many times) said to Ashley after it was over that she wasn’t sure how much she would get out of it and that she was extremely impressed and had an even deeper understanding and hence more confidence in what she was doing everyday.

Thanks once again Ashley.

I wanted to thank Ashley for his amazing ability to analyze my office and team. As most of you know I have been taking and teaching courses at LVI for many years now and always thought I did a pretty good job of helping us determine the areas that are needed to fine tune our practice. Everyone who goes through LVI learns the clinical skills to perform the work but the challenge is implementing the systems and never being complacent when it comes to working ON the practice not just IN the practice. I am very fortunate to have a great team that is willing to accept change and implement new systems and Ashley did a great job of motivating our team to continue to strive for excellence. We are looking forward to Session II.

Thanks again Ashley,

We had Ashley in-office last week. WOW…WOW….WOW…WOW….WOW.
(You can stop reading now. That says it all).
For those of you still reading…….. I have a lovely wife who is very supportive and active in the practice. I have a new office building, great team, and patients who love us. I do lots of high end dentistry. I passed the fellowship exam ;-) We have fairly high production and a great net. I live on a lake, travel a lot, and am healthy (thanks Kent!!). Due to team member’s new babies and other family issues, I decided to bring in Ashley Johnson for a nice infusion of excitement to the practice.
On Sunday, we picked up Ashley…. a big teddy-bear of a man with a quiet manner and a quick grin. We gave him a tour of the area and the backwaters of the mighty Mississippi. Monday morning was a very low-key presentation by Ashley, disguising a fact-finding, data-mining effort as he quietly listened and watched the team’s responses. As the two days progressed, it was clear that the practice vision was muddy. It was clear that we were good, but not great. It was clear that we claimed to be five-star, but were more likely a two and a half! It was clear that we needed a transfusion, not an infusion. It was clear it was up to us to decide what we wanted and up to us to follow through. It was clear that we were working very hard IN our office, but needed to work ON our office. Sitting next to Ashley, muzzled so the team’s responses were not inhibited, I increasingly felt like a character in a Batman comic. THWACK ! BAM! OOOPH ! By the time I took him to our airport for his flight to Las Vegas, I was feeling pretty beat up and wondered how we could even be as successful as we were !!!
Normally, I would rave about the Ashley experience and encourage every office, no matter where you are on the journey, to immediately schedule him, but I just can’t do that in clear conscience. I don’t think that would be a good idea. In fact, I think it would be a TERRIBLE idea !!!!! You see, he only has so much time available. We had very few dates to choose from for his next visit. The more of you yahoos that discover this mentor, the harder it will be for us to get him here. Therefore, I suggest you relax and read Leo and Bill’s excellent article (L&G) in Dentistry Today and call it a nite.

Ashley Does it again. I love this guy. Thank you Ashley. Your constant efforts to improve our office have yielded some beautiful rewards of late.

We went non assignment 8 months ago…. Yes during this economy.

Way easier than I expected.

You got the team to accomplish what I was too afraid to do.

Wish we did this years ago. We gave up Fridays. Bill has been telling me this for years… Finally did it. WE are producing same numbers on 4 days… not five. Much better bottom line.

I have just been selected to be the only dentist in an exclusive men’s professional journal that circulates for my entire province of Alberta, and parts of B.C and Saskatchewan
One Page color spread with detailed interview.
This makes me look really high end compared to other DDS.

I appreciate your attention to my success.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Forum Brothers and Sisters-
My team and I had a revival here in Houston on Monday and Tuesday lead by one Ashley Johnson. He reminded me of the leadership necessary to keep the practice growing. I had lost my way and really was close to saying to hell with it. Staff problems had gotten out of hand and I had lost two front desk people and a RDH. After 36 years I thought I had lost a step. Some troublesome patients had made me doubt myself and my skills. It turns out I just needed to pull my head out of my rear-end and wake up. It was actually hard to hear all the things that I knew for years to do that I had simply stopped because I was tired. Well I am BACK thanks to Ashley’s expert insight and suggestions. We, now as a team, begin a journey that will be for our mutual success.
It will be work and play at the same time. If your practice, you and /or your team need a swift kick, Ashley is your man. Call and make an appointment for him to spur you onward. Do it while it is on your mind.

Thankfully and with respect to all,
Jimmy

Just to share with everyone the wonderful experience of having Ashley back in my practice.

This was his fourth visit to my practice which is transitioning in a huge way. He is absolutely fabulous with the team. THEY ARE PUMPED!!! He has them wrapped around his finger, they get it, he has them focused and each visit they get better and better at driving the practice forward towards the vision, I am getting the true sense now with Ashley’s help my job will be to literally get out of their way… I have to be honest as well and say he helps me greatly in staying the course, owning the need to lead and stepping up to the plate…I’m getting it, this is going to be a great ride.

I have to share too….you have got to see him at IACA….we had just a snippet, just a taste of the FABULOUS presentation he has perfected for the IACA meeting at the end of the month…MAKE SURE YOU SEE IT or you’re a fool. This presentation will make you better than you ever thought possible as a leader of an LVI practice.

Get there or be left in the dust!!

We had Ashley in our office the week before last. I waited two weeks to comment because I wanted to see how long the effects would last.

Firstly what transpired!

On the first day Ashley was in our office we had 14 team members and only two of them could hear, one of them could see and they were all dumb. By the end of the first day we had two true believers. By lunch time on the second day a revelation occurred; One dentist who had not spoken in the five years he worked for me was hooked up to the TENs. After tensing for 45 minutes he began ranting ceaselessly, he even went on to present a case to the group (the most painful 20 mins of our collective lives) but he did it anyway.

Since then the whole team has been energized and excited by the opportunities with neuromuscular and aesthetic dentistry. As well as that they are now converts to true comprehensive care. I ranted and raved for five years to convince them and achieved very little. Ashley achieved more in the two days than I could have imagined. Ashley, you thought they were a tough nut to crack but they have taken everything you said on board and are now saying to me “you know you can’t do this on your own, we are here to help you.”

Thank you Ashley. The blind can now see, the deaf can hear and the dumb can speak. In fact they haven’t shut up since you left. Well done, and we hope to see you done under again soon.

Cheers,

Last Thursday and Friday, I had the great pleasure of having Ashley Johnson consult in my office. My life and practice will never be the same again. He has left his mark in the most positive way imaginable. Ashley is saving my life through helping me transform my practice beyond my wildest dreams. Although it feels like a dream right now, I do have faith that this dream can and will be a reality after starting this journey with Ashley on board. I did not think that I was capable of having a high end practice, but I was stuck in a box and thanks to Ashley and his amazing skills and support I am finding my way out and will have the practice of my dreams.

I feel like all the roads we need to follow are right there in front of us. We just need to have the courage to choose to go down them. I am so grateful for choosing to attend LVI and in turn finding Ashley Johnson. Ashley exceeded any and all of my expectations and I am counting down the days until he returns to my office, but excited by the challenges that he has left for myself and my team in the meantime. I breathe new life from Ashley and I encourage any and all to utilize his services. He is a dental superhero minus the cape!
